Mary "Babe" Edith Schultz

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mary Edith Schultz who passed October 24, 2022 at the age of 100.

Mary Edith Schultz (Trepasso) was born July 14, 1922, in Crystal Falls, MI. She was 1 of 5 sisters and 5 brothers born to Italian immigrants Dominic and Antonia (Shilla) Trepasso. She spent her childhood years in Crystal Falls graduating from Forest Park with the class of 1941.

Mary married Robert Joseph Schultz on June 28, 1941. They moved to Pontiac where they started their family. She had three sons Robert Joseph, Jr., Dennis David, and Roger Dale. She loved going to church and being involved in volunteering at the church, first at Our Lady of the Lakes and later in her life St. Anthony of Padua in Mancelona, MI.

Mary loved shopping, going to garage sales and entertaining guests in her home. She was a great cook, loved to play cards and LOVED her family and friends. Her family was her life!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Schultz, son, Dennis, siblings, Biagio (Dorothy) Trepasso, Cunchet (Wesley "Finny") Kemppinen, Angelo (Tressa) Trepasso, Tony (Edith) Trepasso, Ralph (Eve) Trepasso, Santina (Julius) Bosko, Theresa Trepasso, Gilberta Stella Trepasso as well as nieces and nephews.

Survivors include sons Robert Joseph Schultz II and Roger Dale Schultz (Lillian), grandchildren Robert Schultz III, Lisa Pinter, Angela Walser (Michael), Sarah Schultz (Steve Hunt), Shannon Sawyer, Melissa Bailey, Tom Bailey, Ron Gregory, great-grandchildren Ethan, Xavier, and Everett Walser, Dillon Pinter, Madalyn and MaKaylee Hunt.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 28th at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. Chet Collins officiating.  Visitation will be begin at 12 noon. Interment will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Mancelona.  A luncheon will follow.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral services.
