Marlyn Hart

Marlyn S. Hart, 76, of Mancelona, passed away May 5, 2013 at Munson Medical Center. Marlyn was born February 12, 1937, in Cheboygan, the daughter of Earl and Genevieve Berden. She worked as a Nurses Aid for 26 years at Meadow Brook. She was also active at the St. Anthony Catholic Church for many years as she and her husband resided in Mancelona for over 50 years. On June 19, 1954 in Cheboygan she married the love of her life, Floyd W. Hart Sr. who survives. Also surviving are five children, Floyd W. Hart Jr., of Kalkaska, Rodney (Sheryl) Hart of Mancelona, Tim (Phyllis) Hart of Mancelona, Mary (Stephen) Baker of Kalkaska and Craig (Jennifer) Hart of Mancelona; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Merle Berden of Cheboygan; sister, Carol LaCross of Flint; and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 8, 1 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Dale Magoon officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the church beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of services. The burial will follow the Mass at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. The Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
