It is with a broken heart that I am placing this obituary for my soul mate, my rock, my husband of 40 years Mark V. Irving. He was 60 years old.
On July 31 at 1:00 a.m. he lost the battle against cancer. With his family and cherished friends at his side. Thank you Dean and Rick for being there with us, and for him.
He is survived by me, his spouse, Sheryl (Kine) Irving, his daughter, Christel L. Irving, his cherished grandson’s: Joseph, Caleb and Jacob, his beloved brother, Rob (Peg) Irving, and his nephews Josh and Seth, his extended family, brothers and sisters in law, their children and numerous great nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Irving, and his mother, Charlene “Char” (Freeborn) Irving.
We want this legacy of Cancer, in this family to end here and now. We would graciously ask that a donation to the Cowell Family Cancer Treatment Center, in Traverse City, MI be made in his honor and name. To help the myriad of people that walk through that door each and every day, fighting the fight… some winning and sadly, more losing.
Please come and share with us Mark's life, love, family and friendships at a Celebration of Life Picnic, Saturday, August 25, from 1 to 6 pm at the Irving home, 3363 Vroom Road SW, South Boardman, MI 49680.
God Bless each and every one of you for your support, prayers and love in this time of deep sorrow and need….
Rest in peace my love, dad and grandpa.
