Marjorie Ann Wilson passed away peacefully on June 17, 2012 in Traverse City, Michigan. Marjorie was born on December 9, 1927 in Antrim County Michigan to James and Flossie Drake (Edson). Marjorie was one of seven wonderful children; Gerald, Eldon, Virgina, Katherine, Roger and Vivian, all who have preceded her in death and welcome her home today. Marjorie attended Central Lake Public Schools and graduated in 1944. She later married the late Gerald R. Wilson and together they have six children, Shirley Davis (Gary), James (Joanne) Wilson, Robert (Rita) Wilson, Connie Sutherland, Larry Wilson and Jerry (Susan) Wilson, who survive. Marjorie was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, Matthew Sutherland, Robert Davis, Shannon (Mike) McMahon, Jennifer (Ric) Evans, Eric Sutherland, Michelle (Gary) Gilbert, Mika (Brandon) Everest, William (Kimberly) Sutherland, Erin (Jayzun) Boget, Casey (Brooke) Wilson, Joshua (Stephanie) Wilson, Ashley (Jaime) Martinez. She was preceded in death by grandson Jeffrey Craig Wilson on July 9, 2001. Fifteen great-grandchildren were a source of great joy and pride; Randilynn VanHouten, Breanna Gilbert, Patrick Sutherland, Tucker Davis, Garret Gilbert, Tanner Davis, Jordan Sutherland, Breanne Sutherland, Evan Sutherland, Haley McMahon, Willow Boget, Aiden McMahon, Ronin Wilson, Payton Wilson and Isabelle Martinez. Many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews, were a big part of her life and they were very important to her as well as her many friends. Marjorie's family was her life; she loved each and every one. Her commitment to her family is a tribute in itself. Her faith in God was boundless and she lived each day with faith and love. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, watching her birds and the lake. Marjorie was a wonderful Mother, Sister, Grandmother and friend who's compassionate nature and graciousness endeared her to many. She will missed by all. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at Two p.m at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Tim Manzer officiating. The family will received friends from Noon until the time of service. Memorial donations may be given to Disabled American Veterans, DAV Memorial Program, PO BOX 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45250.
