Marjorie Pauline McDonald, 97, of East Jordan, died Monday, December 12, 2016 at Haven Crest AFC in East Jordan.
She was born April 30, 1919 in Belding, Michigan to George and Mina (Lake) Packard.
On October 25, 1947 she married Wilbur F. McDonald in Walkerville, and they made their home in the Barnard area. They moved to East Jordan in 1954.
Mrs. McDonald was a member of the East Jordan United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, crocheting, coloring and entertaining the residents and staff at Haven Crest.
Surviving are her children Nancy Bradley of East Jordan, Gordon (Carolyn) McDonald of Battle Creek, William (Gloria) McDonald of Gaylord; grandchildren Travis McDonald, Amy (Don) Avery, Adam McDonald, John Bradley, Ryan McDonald, Todd McDonald; step-grandchildren Joy Miller and Steve Walter; great-grandchildren Travis McDonald, Joseph McDonald, Jacob McDonald, Jackson Avery, Rylee Bradley.
Visitation will be Friday, December 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at the East Jordan United Methodist Church, 201 Fourth St., East Jordan, 49727 with the Rev. Glenn Bearss officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan in the springtime.
