Marjorie Bergey

Marjorie E. Bergey,  89, of Kalkaska, passed away on November 27, 2017 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Eden Center.

Marjorie was born on June 6, 1928 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Russell and Alice (Malvitz) Stiers.

Marjorie was a longtime Kalkaska resident where she was active in the Kalkaska Public Schools as a teacher aid and bus driver.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking and  taught cake decorating classes.

She is survived by 4 children, Jo (Herb) Moir of Mancelona, Jenise (Ken) Root of Kalkaska, Jacki (Burr) Saxton of Cadillac, MI, Roger (Peggy) Bergey of Mancelona, a brother Donald Stiers of TX, a sister Janet (Stan) Dahlager of N.C., 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, a daughter, Judith Bergey as well as her parents.

No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
