Marion Weisler

Marion L. Weisler, 71 of Ellsworth died peacefully December 3, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family.  She was born February 11, 1947 in Rapid River Township the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Tink) Day.

Marion was a God-fearing Christian woman.  She was an active member of Pleasant Valley Free Methodist and spent many hours volunteering her time helping others.  Marion loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marion worked for 27 years at Texas Instruments and retired from Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility after many years there.

On August 7, 2004, Marion married Raymond Weisler who survives.  Also surviving are her children Mary Barnes of East Jordan, Roger Barnes Jr. of Ellsworth, step-children Becky Peebles of Newaygo, Deborah Reinhardt of Charlevoix, Raymond (Tina) Weisler Jr of Newaygo, Marietta (Mike) Sauer of Lapeer, siblings Marvin (Doris) Day of Gaylord, Cecil (Lisa) Day of Gaylord, Lydia Sayers of Indian River, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Roger Barnes, siblings Bill, Carl, Helen, Lauren, Vercil, Thomas, stepson Chuck and great grandson Mason.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Scott officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday, December 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  The family will also receive friends Saturday, from 10 am until the time of service at the church.  Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.  Memorial donations can be given to the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church.
