Marion Hill

Marion Ruth Hill, 83, of Bellaire, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. She was born in Detroit on January 24, 1929 the daughter of Thomas and Margarette Anderson. Marion attended U of M and obtained a bachelor degree in Education. She worked for Bellaire Public School System for 15 years and resided in Bellaire over 50 years. She attended Bellaire Community United Methodist Church and was also active in the Bellaire Eastern Star and the Bellaire Area Historical Society. She was a longtime member of the Order Of The Eastern Star. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her family. She is survived by two children David (Meri-Beth) Hill of South Haven and Mary (Kourush) Jamshidi of Kalamazoo; sister Shirley Jean Means of Kalamazoo; eight grandchildren Mondenna, Ian, Sasson, Meghan, Corey, Robbyn, Jessie and Michael; and three nieces. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Don; son Tom Hill and daughter Elizabeth Weaver. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church with Pastor Carl Litchfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bellaire Area Historical Society P.O. Box 646, Bellaire, MI 49615.
