Marilyn Huffman

MARILYN L. HUFFMAN, 56, of Alba, died on January 24, 2010 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. Marilyn was born on June 28, 1953 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the daughter of Herman and Ella (Wiles) Hopp. Marilyn was a resident of Alba since 1969 where she graduated from High School in 1971. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as many other children throughout her life. She also enjoyed knitting and decorating cakes. On September 11, 1971 in Alba, she married Robert J. Huffman who survives. Also surviving are a daughter Ann (Keith) Johnson of East Tawas, a son Joseph Huffman of Hilliard, Ohio, her parents Herman (Ella) Hopp of Alba, 4 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Courtney, and William, a brother Donald (Sharon) Hopp of Elmira and a sister Jeanette (Perry) Rusnell of Elmira. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Coon and Susan Hopp. Services will take place on Saturday, January 30 at Eleven a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Rev. Jerry Huffman will officiate. Visitation will take place on Friday from 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Star Township Cemetery in Alba.
