Marilee Ann Drost 75 of Charlevoix peacefully passed away July 7, 2021 at home. She was born January 22, 1946 in Ionia, the daughter of Roy and Nova (Greenhoe) Patrick.
Marilee was a hard worker and had a heart of gold. She was kind and caring and spent countless hours volunteering her time with her church family. She was a proud member of the Freedom House Church. Marilee spent 30 years as a dedicated employee working for Charlevoix County at the Friend of the Court and as their head secretary before retiring. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and reading. She also loved being in the kitchen cooking and baking for her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Anthony (Melissa King) Towsley of Grawn, Debi (Mike Hood) Odlum of Florida, David (Nicole Bethell) Towsley of East Jordan, grandchildren Lyndsay Borths, Amanda (Rob Bunting) Towsley, Ethan Towsley, Andrew Towsley, 5 great grandchildren, nephew Doug Patrick and many other nieces and nephews, brother in-laws Al Towsley and Roger (Betty) Towsley, and the children and grandchildren of Wayne Drost. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne “Bud” Drost, her parents, and her brother Harold Patrick.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be given to Freedom House Church, PO BOX 25, Charlevoix, MI 49720.
