Marian G. Wilson, 90, of Bellaire, passed away on September 12, 2016 at her home on Eckhart Rd., surrounded by her family and her beloved dog Cindi. Marian was born on May 24, 1926, in Bad Axe, MI, to Harley and Blanche (Rolph) Miller. She grew up in the Detroit area, moving to the Bellaire area at the age of 17 with her parents and siblings. She married James Wilson on September 16, 1944, in Bellaire. She worked many years caring for an elderly couple in their home on Clam Lake for many years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and taking them to the cottage on Carp Lake. She had many hobbies, including cooking, gardening, crafting, hunting and of course fishing. She enjoyed long rides with her husband Jim in the Upper Penninsula and in the fall to look at the colored leaves in the Jordan Valley. She was a member of the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona, and loved her church family. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Rathbun of East Jordan, Shirley (Don) Crocker of Petoskey, her loving grandchildren, Jim (Annette) Rathbun of East Jordan, Michelle (Aaron) Cantrell of New Haven, IN, Warren (Trista) Keller of Alanson, Becky (Mike) Griffes of Alanson, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James Wilson in 2013, a son Robert Wilson, granddaughter Kimberly Carr, two brothers, Orville and Nelson Miller, a sister Doris Bonk, a son-in-law as well as her parents. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Mark McCool officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim Church of Christ.
