Margaret Stine

Margaret E. Stine, 82 of Central Lake, and formerly of Rockford, died Tues. Apr. 3, 2012 at Charlevoix Area Hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Emmett, Idaho, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Fezler) Yarnell. Margaret was a member of the Central Lake Lionesses, the Central Lake Red Hat Society, and attended the First Congregational Church of Central Lake. She was also a long time member of the Rockford Methodist Church and the Mecosta VFW ladies auxiliary. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren, crocheting, playing Wii Bowling, and exercising at the East Jordan pool. She also enjoyed playing cards. On Aug. 15, 1984 in Rockford, she married Alvin Stine who preceded him in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Ginger Adams, 2 stepchildren Randal & David Covert, infants Judith, Catherine and Bruce Covert, and great grandson Kaden Boettner. Margaret is survived by her daughter Sharon (Mike) Velding of Eastport, and son Daniel Schuster of Cedar Springs, grandchildren Kim (Aaron) Biehl of Mancelona, Jen (Luke) Buffman of Central Lake, Tori Velding of Auburn Hills, great grandchildren Dylan and Delaney Buffman, Kinsley and Karsyn Boettner, Zach and Chris Biehl, several nieces and nephews including Larry (Joan) Stine of Bellaire, and Sarah Wilson (Diane Kelder) of Texas. Funeral services will be held Sat. Apr. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. The family will receive friends Fri. Apr. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to the Antrim County Commission on Aging-Meals on Wheels or the Good Samaritan of Ellsworth.
