Margaret Luchtman

Margaret A. Luchtman, 82, of Elmira, passed away on November 6, 2015 at her home. Margaret was born on December 24, 1932, in Detroit, the daughter of Melvin and Isabelle (Cunningham) Frank. Margaret enjoyed her many years of living in Lakes of the North following retirement from St. Clair Shores, MI. She was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona and enjoyed going on trips to the casino, traveling and bird watching. On May 31, 1954, in St. Clair Shores, MI, she married Erwin Luchtman who survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Kathy Quandt of Elmira, Michael (Diane) Luchtman of Galveston, TX, Deborah (Tony) Fletcher of St. Clair Shores, Kevin (Patricia) Luchtman of St. Clair Shores, Randy (Lauren) Luchtman of Warren, and Lori (Ken) Hicks of St. Clair Shores as well as many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jean Hargis. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Just prior to 1:00 p.m. the family will follow to St. Anthony Catholic Church for her Funeral Mass which will begin at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Dale Magoon will officiate.
