Makayla Barber

Makayla Marie Barber,  13 of Alden, passed away at her home on March 23, 2020.

Makayla was born on July 10, 2006 the daughter of Barney and Jacklyn (Hammons) Barber.

She is survived by her parents, a sister Mystina Marie Barber of Germany (USAF), paternal grandmother, Marilyn Barber-Ciszewski (Chester Ciszewski) of Alden, aunt Candace Baker of Bellaire, uncles, David (April) Barber of Gaylord, Michael (Amanda) Hammons of Elmira as well as many great aunts and uncles, cousins, other extended family and many friends who have been by her side through her 13 years.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather David Barber, and her maternal grandparents, Jack and Patricia Hammons.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Burial will follow in Helena Township Cemetery in Alden.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Monday,  also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fowler Center, 2315 Harmon Lake Road, Mayville, MI 48744.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
