Mable LaPratt

MABLE L. LaPRATT, 72, of Alba, died on Friday, April 3, 2009 at her home. Mable was born on August 22, 1936 in Shingleton, MI, the daughter of Floyd and Edith (Wilkes) Livermore. On April 11, 1997, in Waterford, she married Morrison LaPratt. Mable loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, the outdoors and flowers. Mable is survived by her husband Morey, her children William North, Floyd (Robin) North, Edith Allen all of Mancelona, Betty (Jason) Olds, Clyde (Tammy) North all of Alba, Ruth (Robert) Coon, and Mary Spries all of Cochranton, PA, brothers and sisters Mary Colton of Mancelona, Edith Palmer of Florida, Gladys Hannah, John Livermore, and George Livermore all of St. Ignace, 22 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers David, James, and Donald Livermore, sister Mildred Iverson and daughter Carol Darby. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2009 at Twelve noon at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Bob Gabbard officiating. Interment will follow in Star Township Cemetery, Alba. Memorials may be directed to Munson Hospice of Traverse City. Arrangements have been handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
