Lura Wells

Lura Esta Wells, 77, of Charlevoix passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Charlevoix.

She was born in Muskegon on October 4, 1939 to William and Edith (Grams) Slate. On June 15, 1957 she married Donald E. Wells in Charlevoix, where they made their home.

Surviving are her husband Donald; children Donald (Patricia) Wells Jr. of Charlevoix and Julie (Gordon) Montie of Charlevoix; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Nancy (Charles) Mathers of Charlevoix and Debra Iverson of East Jordan; brothers James (Mary Lou) LaBreque of Mancelona and Gary (Cathy) Slate of Arizona. Lura was preceded in death by a sister Veronica Olson and brother William LaBreque Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 1:00 - 4;00pm at Charlevoix Estates Club House, 6685 M66 North in Charlevoix. Arrangements were made by Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth, online at www.hastingsfuneral.com.
