Luke Jewell

Luke James Jewell, 20, of Alba, died Saturday morning, October 27, 2007 at home. Luke was born March 24, 1987 in Gaylord, the son of James and Michele (Wilkes) Jewell. He loved music, school, being with friends, and going for walks outside. He especially loved to swim, even in Lake Superior. He always had a smile on his face, and lived with determination. He is survived by his parents of Alba, sister Jenifer of Houghton, sister Laura and brother Joseph at home, his paternal grandmother Grace Louise Jewell of Clio, his maternal grandparents Roy and Delores Wilkes of Mancelona, seven Aunts and Uncles, 14 cousins, and 11 second cousins He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Rowan Jewell, cousin Anna Zimpfer and cousin Sarah Smith. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 3 pm. at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church with Rev's Jerry and Ellen Cook officiating. A viewing will be held Monday at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, from 6-9 pm and Tuesday at 1 pm at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church. Interment will be in Star Twp. Cemetery, Alba. Memorials may be given to WLJN 89.9 FM Radio in Traverse City, Northern Christian Radio in Gaylord, or the Mancelona Free Methodist Church.
