Lucile Hersha

Lucille I. Hersha, 75, of Newberry, died Friday, October 26, 2018 in Ellsworth.

She was born August 14, 1943 in Boyne City to Racil and Olive (Hubble) Mapes.

On November 14, 1964 she married Raymond Hersha in East Jordan. They lived in Ellsworth before moving to Newberry in 1975.

Lucille worked at Morweld Steel Corporation in Ellsworth. She loved her family, especially her grandkids, and enjoyed camping, shooting black powder guns and traveling. She also enjoyed auctions, antiquing, flea markets and yard sales.

Surviving are her husband Raymond; children William (Donna) Hersha of Corunna and Chester Hersha of Levering; grandchildren Billy Jr., Wrayann, Cassie, Marcus, Devin, C.J., Ashantia and Kelly; great-grandchildren Cambria, Alaina and Jaxin; a sister Betty Mapes of Boyne City and brother Harold (Jane) Mapes of Boyne City. She was preceded in death by an infant son Raymond Hersha, her parents, her sister Dawn Batz and her brother Racil Mapes.
