LuAnne Gaddis

LuAnne Gaddis, 80, of Elk Rapids, died peacefully at Munson Hospice House, Fri. Aug. 19, 2016. She was born Nov. 3, 1935 in Detroit, the youngest of four children of William and Annie Lee (Gwin) Bailie. LuAnne married the love of her life, John A. Gaddis on Nov. 6, 1954 and in 1967 they moved their family north to Central Lake. After working at Texas Instruments for several years, she and her husband owned and operated "That'sa Pizza" in Central Lake before retirement. In her free time, LuAnne enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, movies and spending time with her family. She also regularly attended the Traverse City Film Festival. LuAnne was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John A., and her son John D. She is survived by her son Robert Gaddis of Belmont, MI; her daughter Robyn (Richard) Meadows of Harrisburg, PA, her grandsons Matt and Daniel Gaddis, and Nicholas (Tiffany) Meadows, granddaughter Kaitlyn Meadows, and great grandson Alexander Meadows. A private family service will be held. Memorial donations may be directed to Munson Hospice House. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
