Lou Anne Alpers

Lou Anne Alpers  71, of Bellaire, passed away on July 29, 2024 at her home.   

   She was born on March 20, 1953, in Auburn, MI, the daughter of Harold and June (Linbaugh) Dillon.   

   Lou Anne enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, rock collecting especially along Lake Michigan and spending time with her grandchildren.   

   On May 15, 1977, in Traverse City, she married Jerome “Jerry” Alpers who survives.   Also surviving are 3 children, Neva (Joel) Kelso of Brighton, MI, John Alpers of Bellaire, Shanna Alpers of Bellaire, 2 grandchildren, Emily and Pam Kelso, a brother Leonard Dillon, and sister “Sister” Mary Joseph.  

   She was preceded in death by her parents.  

   Services will be private.  

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Grass River Natural Area, P.O. Box 231, Bellaire, MI,  49615.  

   Arrangements are in the care of the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
