Lois Lomas

Lois M. Lomas,  89, of Bellaire, passed away on July 10, 2019 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.

Lois was born on December 4, 1929, in Detroit, the daughter of Frederick and Lenor (Barrington) Dane.

Lois lived in Bellaire for many years and enjoyed gardening, boating and traveling to Florida in the winters to spend time with her sister.

Her greatest love of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members.  Her life revolved around her family and she always put them first.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Lynn (Ken) Buchholz of Lake Ann, MI, Laurie (Ron) Dunnebeck of Mancelona, Lenor (Don) Czajkowski of Bellaire, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Lomas, brother Don Dane, 2 sisters, Doris Perich, Joan “Joni” Laramie as well as her special friend James Bargar.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Sara Goldberg officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of services on Saturday also at the funeral home.

Private burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s or Dementia Associations.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
