LOIS A. KOLLIN, 80, of Bellaire, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2010 at home with family by her side. Lois was born October 11, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of George and Nelle (Seelye) Reinke. Lois graduated in Mathematics from Wayne State University. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was an avid gardener, traveler and health enthusiast. Lois and her husband, Bob, enjoyed many years playing in the violin section of the Benzie Symphony Orchestra and she was a member of the Bellaire Lioness Club. Former resident of Monroe, MI, and Canton, OH, Lois and her family spent their summers on Lake Bellaire from 1964 until 1994, when she and Bob became fulltime residents. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Kollin, whom she married in Detroit, August 25, 1951. Loving mother of; Karl (Debra) Kollin of Commerce Twp., MI, Lynda (Greg) Tulik of Williamsburg, MI, and Cheryl (Dave) Kollin of Wyandotte, MI. Grandmother of Gregg, Jeff (Megan), Lauren, Lindsey, and Rachel and great-grandmother of Lincoln. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Paul Reinke. The family would like to extend a thank you to everyone for all their thoughts and well wishes. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Doctors without Borders, Antrim County Commission on Aging or Fresh Food Partnership Traverse City.
