Lloyd Cannon, 89 of Eastport, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Eastport Care Home in Eastport, Michigan.
He was born on October 14, 1931 in Elkton, Kentucky the son of Lones (Johnnie) Cannon.
Lloyd grew up in Elkton, Kentucky and later moved to Dearborn, Michigan. He worked as a truck driver for 15 years, along with working at Ford Motor Company for 25 years. He was a part of the Dearborn Police Reserves for 15 years. Lloyd had a passion for horses and throughout the years owned and raised harness racing horses.
Surviving is Lloyds son, Mike (Deb) Cannon of Central Lake; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Cannon, Paul Cannon, Phillip Cannon, Brian (Emma) Cannon, Scott Cannon; 3 great grandchildren, Lyndsey Cannon, Samantha Cannon, Declan Cannon.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Lones and Johnnie Cannon, his wife Eula Mae Cannon, and his son Richard Cannon.
There will be a visitation Sunday, October 3 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, Kentucky from 10am until 1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm. Burial will take place at Stokes Cemetery following the funeral service.
Local arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
