Lionel Moran

Lionel R. Moran, 80, of Bellaire, passed away on August 8, 2015 at Munson Medical Center. Lionel was born on October 20, 1934, in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Ralph and Nancy (Gross) Moran. Lionel was a long time member of the Bellaire Wesleyan Church. He was employed by Lamina Bronze for 36 years and also worked for Olds Ambulance as well as Life Link. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On June 7, 1952, in Bellaire, he married Donna J. Robinson who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Ralph (Marlene) Moran of Bellaire, Peggy (Robert) Riedhart of Huntington, IN, Junie (Gary) Hoag of Lindale,TX, Patricia (Bill) Drollinger of Bellaire, 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Marian Sterner, his parents, 3 brothers, Oakley, Eugene, Carl Moran and a sister Fern Dewey. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellaire Wesleyan Church. Pastor Dave Willett will officiate. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bellaire Wesleyan Church.
