Linda McKay

Linda Lou McKay, 75 of Central Lake, died peacefully, Tues. Nov. 24, 2015 at Munson Medical Center. She was born Mar. 18, 1940, in East Jordan, the daughter of Ernest and Joyce (Kamradt) Raymond. After marrying Clayton McKay on Nov. 3, 1956, they moved to Central Lake to raise their family. Linda enjoyed playing bingo, reading, and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden and was an avid sports fan. Surviving Linda is her husband Clayton, her children Rick (Charlotte) McKay of East Jordan, Rocky (Jill) McKay of Central Lake, Tim (Angela) McKay of Traverse City, siblings Jim Raymond of Omaha, NE, Phil (Betty) Raymond of Howell, Louis (Sonya) Raymond of Charlevoix, Duwayne (Donna) Raymond of Grand Rapids, Dick (Star) Raymond, Doug Raymond, and Eleanor Chanda all of East Jordan. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren Charity (Dave) McKinnon of East Jordan, Kirk McKay, Kyle (Shannon) McKay, Tracy (Qito) Maza all of Central Lake, Lance (Katrina) McKay of Boyne City, and 2 great grandchildren Caris and Macie McKinnon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Donald John McKay, and her brother Charles Raymond. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held Sun. Dec. 6, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Memorial donations can be given on her behalf to the Antrim County Animal Shelter.
