Linda Lockhart

Linda S. Lockhart, 59, of Central Lake, died Monday, October 11, 2010, at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 25, 1951, the daughter of W.F. (Ham) and Eva Belle (Richards) Shiveline. Linda was a lifelong resident of Central Lake, graduating in 1969 as valedictorian. She was a loyal, dedicated employee and Director of Operations at Second Chance and Savvy Body Armor for over 30 years. She enjoyed watching Central Lake sports, especially following the girls basketball and softball programs. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She is survived by her children Shana (John) Kingma of Petoskey and Damian (Jill) Lockhart of Grand Rapids, son in-law Todd (Christine) Elsenheimer of Traverse City, husband Larry Grise, sisters Shirley (Paul) McDowell of Central Lake and Judy (Bob) Hoopfer of The Villages, FL, 8 precious grandchildren Lily, Collin, Jaxon, Aiden, Avery, Kane, Lincoln and Cruz, nieces and nephews Dodd (Jill), Colt (Jessica), Bobby (Coleen), and Shelly (Kenton). Linda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Dhana, nephew Chance, Auntie Fay Marks and her parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Ten a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Norm Byers officiating. A private family burial will take place in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake.
