Lewis Skeel

Lewis R. Skeel, 88, of Rogersville, Mo., formerly of Charlevoix, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015, at his home. He was born September 20, 1927, in Stanhope, Iowa, to Herbert and Ella (Wentzel) Skeel.

On July 2, 1949, he married Barbara Allard in Charlevoix. They made their home in Charlevoix.

Lewis worked at the East Jordan Iron Works in East Jordan, and for Medusa Portland Cement Company in Charlevoix.

He was a member of Saint' Mary's Church in Charlevoix, and Immaculate Conception Church in Springfield, Mo. Lewis enjoyed woodworking.

Following retirement, he and Barbara made their home in Rogersville, Mo.

Lewis is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Phillip, Jeanette, Gordon, Paul, and Lori; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.
