Lewis Lockery

Lewis L. Lockery, 79, of Mancelona, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Lewis was born on November 29, 1931 in Alba, MI., the son of Stanley and Essie Lockery. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Janice Lockery. He is also survived by eight children, James (Darlene) Lockery of Boyne City, MI., Rhonda (Frank) Whitcomb of Massachusetts, Connie (David) Boughner of Johannesburg, MI., Bryon (Angie) Kimbler of Alba, MI., Teri (Paul) Wilson of Unadilla, MI., Robin (Earl) Worth of Greenway, AK., Rebecca (Robert) Kincaid of Gregory, MI., Troy (Eunice) Kimbler of Mancelona, MI; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife in 1991, Beatrice and his parents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Mark McCool officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home. The burial will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery.
