Leslie Anne Knoop left this world on June 14, 2018 surrounded by more loving family and friends than she would have ever imagined would be with her.
Leslie was born on September 13, 1967 in Hanover, Pennsylvania to Mike and Sue (Melhorn) Miller.
She fought hard for three long painful years and was able to hide most of her pain. We admired her optimistic outlook; she always thought she would beat the cancer. Those of us that had the blessing of being close to her are truly sad to not have her in our lives but feel such a relief that her painful journey is over and she can finally be pain free and mentally peaceful.
Leslie is survived by her husband of 30 years, Rodger Scott Knoop, her son, Braden (Cassidy) Knoop grandson, Winston, daughter, Ryleigh Knoop all of Charlevoix, parents, Mike and Sue Miller of Charlevoix, three sisters, Valerie (Tim) Krueger of Las Vegas, Shelly (Michael Thielen) Miller of Las Vegas and Emily Lee of Charlevoix, nieces and nephews, Nick Krueger of Las Vegas, Katie and Bobby Nolan of Spokane, and Maddie Lee of Charlevoix and her great niece Allie Nolan of Spokane. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.
A memorial mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlevoix with Fr. Peter Wigton officiating. The family will receive guests for visitation from 6:30 p.m. until the time of Mass on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Leslie’s honor to the Charlevoix Infusion Center. The care and support found here was comforting through this journey.
Arrangements are being handled by the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com.
