Leone Cobb

     Leone Mae Cobb passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire, MI.

     Leone was born in Iron Mountain, MI on May 6^th, 1926 to Harold and Alma Paronto.  Leone was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal Cobb, her parents and brothers Floyd and Harold Jr.  She leaves her son, Gary Cobb, daughter Wendy (Cobb) Baumgartner, four granddaughters and seven great grandchildren.

     Leone graduated from Kingsford High School in 1945 and moved to Chicago, IL where she met and married the love of her life, Loyal, on July 5, 1946.  They moved to Muskegon and then to Spring Lake, MI.  She was employed at Bennett Pump until 1972 when they moved to Elk Rapids, MI.   

     Lee and Loyal were longtime members of The First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids where she volunteered often.  She loved to knit and cross-country ski but what she loved most was relaxing on the lakeside deck with Loyal, family and friends sipping a glass of lemonade and watching the grandkids and their friends swim, water ski and sail. 

     The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Meadow Brook for providing her with such loving care and giving her a home away from home. You are all amazing.

     A celebration of life will be held late summer with family and close friends.
