LEONA G. MARSH 73, of Alba, died on Oct. 4, 2007 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Leona was born on January 13, 1934 in Brooklyn, Michigan, the daughter of Dale and Ruth (Miller) Stump. She was a graduate of Brooklyn High School and was employed at Ford Motor for several years. She moved to Alba in 1971 and eventually went on to work as a cook for Alba Schools. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and loved spending time with her family, friends and the school kids. On Oct. 7, 1953 in Angola, Indiana she married Robert W. Marsh who survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Fred (Donna) Marsh of Brooklyn, Charles Marsh of Alba, Lois (Bob) Curtis of Mancelona, James (Sarah) Marsh of Alba, Bob (Jeannie) Marsh of Alba, Teena (Donald) Blasko of Elmira, two sisters, Maxine Sparks of Clinton, Marie (Gordon) Foster of Clark Lake, 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a son Robert E. Marsh. A memorial service will take place on Sat. Oct. 13, 2007 at Two p.m. at the Alba High School Gymnasium. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alba Public Schools. Arrangements were handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
