Laura Belle Evans

Laura Belle Evans, 83 of Central Lake passed away April 23, 2025 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  She was fortunate to spend Easter Sunday at her sister's home, surrounded by her family just a few days before her passing.

Laura was born September 25, 1941 in Kearney Township the daughter of Herman and Nora (Allers) Evans.  She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Bruce) Patton of Bellaire, granddaughter Whitney Patton of Bellaire, brother Bob (Bev) Evans of Central Lake, sisters Leona Reed of Traverse City, Lois Shisler of Englewood, CO, Linda (Jim) Talbot of Central Lake, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews too!  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Gerald, Howard, Roy, and Terry and her sister Lorraine.

She was a dedicated employed and for many years Laura worked at the Gulf and Western in East Jordan.  She also drove the school bus for the Central Lake Head Start program and the Antrim County Transportation bus for 10 years.

Laura loved spending time with her big family, especially all the kids.  She enjoyed working outside in her yard and traveling too.  She was very talented and crafty and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, making dolls, and painting.  She also loved foraging at garage sales and then having annual garage sales with her sister Lorraine.  

Private family services will be held and burial will take place in Dunsmore Cemetery, Echo Township.
