Laura Lee Brown, 78, of Bellaire, passed away on October 30, 2016 at her home. Laura Lee was born on February 18, 1938, in Lansing, MI, the daughter of Ralph and Grace (Murden) Hoisington. Laura Lee was a long time member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. She was active in her church, loved to sing, and was a member of DeColores, a Christian mentorship. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, swimming, gardening, and loved to talk politics. She is survived by three children, Bryan (Bonnie) Brown of Knobnoster, MO, Jenny Brown of Bellaire, Angie (Mike) Noble of Bellaire, a brother, Charles Hoisington, two sisters, Sherri Olney and Carolyn Rosa as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Brown, three sons, Mike, Mitchell and Vince Brown, two daughters, Laura and Josanna Brown as well as her parents, Grace (Dick Brown) and Ralph Hoistington. A Resurrection Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. Fr. Chet Collins will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Right to Life or to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
