Larry McCarty

Larry  “MAC” McCarty,  74, of Mancelona, passed away on October 8, 2018 at his home.

MAC was born on December 5, 1943, in Mancelona, the son of Leathel and Marion (Bowman) McCarty.

MAC was a resident of Mancelona most of his life and served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, painting, and most of all the Detroit Tigers. MAC also loved to reminisce about living in Alaska, and always hoped to return one day.

He is survived by two daughters, Malisa McCarty of Mancelona, Malinda (Blake) Bulgrin of Casper, WY, a brother Leathel (Jackie) McCarty of Mancelona, two sisters, Melba (Jim) Crothers of Alden, Nona McCarty (John Paluis), 6 grandchildren, Cody McCorry, Cheyenne McCorry, Austin (Sarah) Bulgrin, Landas( Ryan) LeRoy, Brittlyn Bulgrin, Autumn Bulgrin, 3 great grandchildren, Landon McCorry, Brayden McCorry, Brogen LeRoy along with 3 step- great grandchildren, Kaden, Lexie, Jacalyn as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Mark McCarty, son-in-law Chris McCorry, sister Joanne Thompson and his parents.

Graveside services will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona Township.
