Kristine Dawson

Former Michigan resident, Kristine Dawson, born 27 Feb 1966, to Arvin and Alice (Harrison) Dawson in Central Lake, MI; and fondly known as Kris, passed on 9 July 2020.

She spent the majority of her life in Michigan. In October of 2019, Kris made the move to Georgia to take care of her daughter.
She is survived by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Dawson, currently in Newnan, GA; sister Lisa Dawson; nieces and nephews: Emma, Josh and Owen,  from Central Lake, MI.
Kris graduated from Central Lake High School in 1984. She loved lighthouses, the color pink, family and friends. When asked what her favorite job was throughout life, she’d always say the same thing: being a mother. Kris was the rock that kept her daughter going, no matter what she was going through herself. Being a mom was what she did best.
She was a daughter, sister and mom to Jen and 4 extra daughters; who she wrapped under her wings.
She will be missed and adored by many.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Bruce Hamilton officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00.  Interment to follow at Southern Cemetery in Central Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to her daughter Jen, who is valiantly fighting Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Chiari Malformation.
