Kenneth "Ty" Villermain

Kenneth George Villermain, best known as “Ty”, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023, at Boulder Park Terrace at the age of 94, surrounded with the love of family and the staff of Boulder Park.  Ty was born on Septmember 21, 1928, the son of George and Jenelda (Bennette) Villermain.

Ty and Donna took great pride in their grandchildren.  They babysat them any chance they could, and rarely missed any of their sporting events, concerts, or school activities.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Villermain; two daughters, Suzette (Dennis) Daly and Michelle (Jerry) Shea; five grandchildren, Keith (Lyndsay) Daly, Bryce (Courtney) Daly, John Shea, Val (Doug) Oliver, and Ken (Katie) Slade; two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Lincoln, nieces Vicki and Jeannine; and nephew, Bob.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jen Villermain; his daughter, Wendy Slade; and his sister Jean Rose, as well as her husband and Ty’s best friend, Harry Rose.

A private graveside service with military honors will be held in the Spring or Summer of 2023. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charlevoix County Veterans Affairs.
