Kenneth Joseph Mulka, 83, of Charlevoix passed away on February 26, 2017 at Charlevoix Area Hospital.
Ken was born on October 21, 1933 the son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Wassell) Mulka. He was a probation/patrol officer for 40 years serving 20 years in Bay City followed by 20 years in Charlevoix.
In March of 1955 Ken married Gale Lewis who survives and they celebrated 61 years of marriage in March of 2016. His greatest devotion was to his wife and his family. He is also survived by his children, Beth (Gary) Schmidt of Charlevoix, Paul (Paige) Mulka of Plainwell, Mark (Mary) Mulka of Midland; grandchildren, Kevin Schmidt, Corey (Betsy) Mulka, Mallory (Joe) Lindsay, Nick Mulka, Molly and Ben Meddock; great grandchildren, Keagan, Avery and Clara Mulka, Natalie Lindsay.
Ken was a dedicated Spartan fan, graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1955. He enjoyed spending his free time golfing, he loved playing cards, and he was an avid reader.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary, Virginia, Genevieve, Justine and Pauline.
