Kenneth Brandt

Kenneth W. Brandt, 60 of Traverse City, died Friday, April 3, 2020 at home.  He was born Nov. 26, 1959 in Detroit, the son of William and Loraine (Young) Brandt.

Ken graduated from Weld Tech and worked in the oil fields and for the Detroit Free Press.  He also “worked” scrapping steel and anything else he could find of interest.  Ken enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and boating.  He also enjoyed going to the casino.

Surviving Ken is his son Kenneth (Marie) Brandt II and grandchildren Alexia and Maleah.  He is also survived by his father William Brandt, his brothers William of East Jordan, Robert (Rose) of Brimley, Ronald (Joyce) of Westland, Richard (Sherri) of Tecumseh, and sister Kathy (Cristiane) of Florida.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 10 from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at Brandt Cemetery, 2587 Brandt Road, Jordan Township, Mancelona, MI.
