Kenneth Aenis

Kenneth Earl Aenis, 82, of Central Lake, Michigan, went to the Lord on August 20, 2010 at Tendercare Medical Care Facility in Traverse City. Ken was born April 28, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Ray and Lillian (Cary) Aenis. Ken worked as a plumber for James Plumbing and Heating in Central Lake before his employment as a line supervisor for Texas Instruments, Inc. in Central Lake. He was also a veteran serving in the U. S. Army occupation of Japan after WWII. Ken enjoyed hunting, gardening, telling and listening to stories with his many friends and family members, as well as attending the Central Lake Bible Baptist Church. On December 25, 1948 Ken married Kathleen Hebden who survives. Also surviving are 3 children K. James (Josie) Aenis of Jacksonville, Florida, Dennis (Jerolyn) Aenis of Central Lake, Michigan, as well as Richard (Linda) Aenis of Central Lake, Michigan, 7 grand children, and 14 great grand children. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Vernon, Marlin, and Larry as well as his parents Raymond and Lillian (Cary) Aenis. Funeral services will take place at the Mortensen Funeral Home in Central Lake on August , 25, 2010, at 11:00 A.M, with Pastor Thomas Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at the Dunsmore Cemetery in Echo Township. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Central lake Chapel of the Mortensen Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to the Missionary Fund at the Central Lake Bible Baptist Church, 1040 North M-88, Central Lake, MI 49622.
