Kathryn Stewart

Kathryn Stewart passed away at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire on February 4, 2016. Kathryn was born on August 7, 1921 in Moxee, WA, to Alex and Anna Marie (Gettman) Litzenberg. She was the sixth of twelve children. On September 13, 1941, she married William R. Stewart in Ketchikan, Alaska. During their married life Bill and Kathryn lived in many states - Alaska, Washington, Texas, Florida and Michigan. Their favorite was Washington State. Bill and Kathryn enjoyed golfing and participating in archery tournaments. She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by her son, W. Alan (Karon) Stewart of Yakima, Washington; daughter, Janice (Terry) Smith of Bellaire; grandchildren, Shannon (Todd) Johnson, Nikki (Luke) Tabaczynski, Jeff Stewart, Jason Stewart; and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by two older sisters. A private service will take place at a later date in Yakima, Washington. Memorial contributions in Kathryn's name may be directed to Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility or Antrim County Commission on Aging.
