Karen Whitecraft-Stith, 68, of Beaver Island, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her home. She was born on October 26, 1956, in Lansing, the daughter of William and Carol (Gnat) Whitecraft.
Karen moved to Beaver Island from the Grand Rapids area in the 90's, and enjoyed the way of life on the island. She was a licensed masseuse and practiced her craft for many years on Beaver Island, where she also cut hair. She was a skilled jewelry designer and spent a lot of time at shows all around Northern Michigan. She loved animals and always had a dog at her house, as well as many other animals.
Karen is survived by her sister, Kathy (Al) LaMothe of Clarkston, MI; her nephew, Kyle (Stacy) Grindling of Royal Oak, MI.
She was preceded in death her parents; and her step-father, James Marsh.
