Karen G. King, 66 of Charlevoix, peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her beloved family on August 27, 2015. This beautiful and deep soul has unfurled her wings, flying off as she embarked on a new and exciting journey...she is at peace and is free. She enjoyed traveling, walks along the shore of Mt. McSauba, reading, music, art, time with family and exploring the internet. She was employed by the Charlevoix State Bank. She is survived by two daughters: Heather (Brian) Williams; grandson Harth and Holly Atkinson; grandsons Jessie, Jordon, Orion and Jayden. Three sisters, Brenda Drost, Trudy Bartlett, Bonnie Kimble and one brother Phil Ohmer, one nephew, three nieces, two great nephews, two great nieces and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her son, Jay Luther, niece Christine Drost and her parents Pauline (King) Ohmer and Gerald Ohmer. A private memorial will be held in her honor on September 12, 2015 in Charlevoix and a life celebration will be held October 11, 2015 in Lansing, Michigan.
