Judy Root

Judy M. Root, 64, of Mancelona, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 surrounded by her family at home. Judy was born on March 26, 1946 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of late Stanley and Dorothy Minier. On March 1, 1996, she married Warren Root who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Clint Rohde of Gaylord, Teresa (Mark) Haynes of Mancelona, 2 grandchildren Zac and Sierra Haynes of Mancelona, 4 siblings, Jerry (Louis) Minier of Bitely, Jim (Lynn) Minier of Big Rapids, Dave (Barb) Minier of Wyoming, Pat (Chuck) Nichols of Jenison, and several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, Chuck Rohde and her parents. Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 11, 2010 at eleven a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Tim Manzer officiating. Interment will be private for the family following the service. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.
