Judith Ruth Flisnik, 71, of Central Lake, formerly of East Detroit, passed away on March 8, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. Judie was born on December 23, 1942, in Detroit, the daughter of Fredrick and Irene (McMorran) Stage. Judie was an avid Detroit Tigers fan as well as a life long Elvis fan. She enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, traveling, playing card games, gardening and she loved animals, especially her beloved dog Molly. Most of all Judie enjoyed spending time with all of her family. On February 14, 1986, in East Detroit, she married John Flisnik who survives. Also surviving are her 4 children, Laurie (Gary) Jeroue of New Baltimore, MI, Charlene (Chad) Eurich of White Lake, MI, David (Amy) LaBute of East Jordan, MI, Robert (Cheryl) LaBute of Boyne City, MI, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister Susan Glaser of Chesterfield, MI, 3 brothers, Maurice (Cindy) DeBlaere of Roseville, MI, Raymond (Sarah) DeBlaere of Detroit, MI, Michael DeBlaere of Jackson, MI, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Fredrick Stage and 2 sisters, Theresa DeBlaere and Wendy DeBlaere Ballard. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Fr. James Gardiner will officiate.
