Joyce Patton

JOYCE L. PATTON 74, of Bellaire, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at her home. Joyce was born on May 23, 1933 in Rapid City, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond and Leona (Atkinson) Hill. Joyce was a Bellaire resident most of her life and enjoyed sporting events, especially her grandchildren's and camping. On Feb. 6, 1954 in Alden, she married Robert E. Patton who preceded her in death in 2003. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Frances Hill, John Hill, Gerald "Duke" Hill as well as her parents. She is survived by five children, William "Bill" Patton of Bellaire, Pam Patton of Bellaire, Bruce (Cheryl) Patton of Bellaire, Vicki (Kenneth) Hutchens of Rockford, Robert "Bobby" Patton of Bellaire, a brother LeRoy (Harriet) Hill of Williamsburg, three sisters, Alice Hill of Rapid City, Marie (Lee) Couturier of Sparta, Elaine (Garth) Griffths of Grand Rapids, two sisters-in-law, Pat Hill of Walker, Shirley Hill of Rapid City, five grandchildren, Janet Hutchens, Billy (Shannon) Patton, Michael Hutchens, Jessica Patton, Whitney Patton and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sat., Dec. 29 at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Cross or the American Cancer Society.
