Joyce Marcotte

Joyce Ann Marcotte, 83 of East Jordan, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at McLaren Northern Michigan. She was born January 2, 1941 in Detroit, the daughter of Arnold and Violet (Groesbeck) Kliener.

Joyce loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time in her garden too. She also liked going to lunch with her friends and swimming. Once the snow began to fly, Joyce would head to Florida so she could enjoy the warmth and sunshine. In her younger days, Joyce enjoyed sewing.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Walter Marcotte, children James (Dawn) Guthre of Charlevoix and Shari (Joe) Shippy of Commerce Township, and grandson Jace Knapp of Charlevoix. She was preceded in death by her son Wally and daughter Michelle. 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Ellsworth Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
