Joshua Stead

Joshua Kenneth Stead 40, of Bellaire, died unexpectedly August 28, 2021.  He was born December 20, 1980, in Charlevoix the son of Ken and Tammie (Wilks) Stead.

Josh was a graduate of Bellaire High School and received his Auto Certification in suspension and brakes.  He worked for several years in auto repair and did electrical work too.  Josh also spent many years working with his mom at Tammie’s Dog Grooming.

Josh loved the outdoors.  He could be found hiking with his dog Thunder, snowmobiling, and being at his property.  He also liked to build furniture and enjoyed wood burning.

He leaves behind his family he deeply loved, especially his son Chase Alan Clark of Central Lake, his parents Ken and Tammie Stead of Bellaire, his older brother Shane (Nora) Stead of Bellaire, younger brother Joel (Erin) Stead of Columbus, OH, nephews Camden and Izaac, nieces Arden and Harper, grandmothers Audrey Glander of Bellaire and Ann Stead of Owosso, aunts and uncles David (Karen) Wilks, Curtis (Karen) Wilks, Pamela (Matt) Borgen, and best canine friend Thunder.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Pete Wilks, Don Stead, Bruce Glander, Don Coltson, and grandmother Joan Coltson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 25th at 2 p.m. at the Richardi Park in Bellaire.  A memorial fund has been established to help with the education and care of Josh's son Chase.  You can make the check payable to Tammie or Ken Stead and mail those to them at 208 E. Forest Home Ave, Bellaire, MI 49615 or take them directly to 4Front Credit Union.
