Joseph J. Juracko, Sr., passed away on March 9, 2021 at the Villages Regional Hospital in Florida.
Joe was born on December 30, 1942, in Detroit, the son of Joseph and Della (Kusior) Juracko
He and his late wife Carolyn started the Central Lake Auto Clinic in 1968 and ran it along with their son Joe right up until his passing. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting deer and elk. He and Carolyn took several trips elk hunting out west and had numerous trophy mounts at home to show for it.
Around 1990, they quite going out west to hunt and bought a place in the Blue Parrot Trailer Park near the Villages where they wintered for many years.
Joe is survived by a son Joseph Juracko III of Central Lake, a granddaughter Amber Risteau Juracko of Central Lake, 3 sisters, Pam Barnard of Central Lake, Susie (Ben) Collins of Central Lake, Ramona Collins of Central Lake as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Conant) Juracko in 2017, and both his parents.
A public viewing will take place on Friday, March 26 from 4-6 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
There will also be a graveside service Monday, May 24, at 2pm in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township where he will be buried alongside his family.
