John Walker

John (Jack) McKinnon Walker died peacefully at his home in Eastport MI on June 8, 2009. He was born on April 28, 1925 in Detroit to George and Ruth Walker. Jack entered the Army at age 19, and served until the end of World War II. Jack was preceded in death by his sisters, Audrey (Hank), Agnes Jean (David), and his brother George (Elaine). He leaves behind an extended loving family: wife Barbara; daughters Pat (Dick) Daniels, Chris Walker Hennessey, Deb Walker (Kevin Howard) and son John Walker (Margo), as well as 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 16 nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private memorial service. For those desiring, contributions can be made to the Humane Society or the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
