John Ruth

John Robert Ruth, 69, of Central Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. John has been a resident of Central Lake since, 1971, where he raised his family and served several years on the CL Fire Department. He retired from Great Lakes Packing Co. He loved to build picnic tables and ride motorcycles. John is survived by wife Mary (Beaver) Ruth, daughters Joanna (Bob) Hicks, Krista (Dean) Willson Jr., and son David John Ruth; 3 grandsons: Dean Willson III, Brian Willson, and Taylor Ruth, 2 granddaughters: Kendra Willson and Jade Ruth; brother Herman (Marion) Ruth and sister Katherine Ruth; an uncle, several aunts, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents: John P. Ruth and Irene Skinner, brother Micheal David Ruth. Visitation will be 4-8pm on Monday, July 15th at Mortensen Funeral Home in Central Lake and Tuesday from 3-4pm. Funeral services Tuesday at 4pm at the Central Lake funeral home, Pastor Sam McClellan will officiate. Interment will follow at Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. A dinner will follow at the Central Lake Bible Baptist Church.
